Venice is well trodden ground for the artist. So, as much as I was drawn to the energy and life around the Grand Canal, I chose to do most of my drawing in the quieter streets of Castello and Dorsodouro.
I saw the Lady and the Unicorn tapestries at the Musée national du Moyen Âge in Paris in the Autumn. They’re really great reference material for the prints and paintings I’m doing based on Medieval subjects. It is believed that the tapestries depict the senses.
